Record role time allocation
Record working-time fractions for each wage-mapped role, save the allocations and recover from a conflicting edit.
Who does this: Preparer. You are a human user with the active Preparer role in the Firm and are assigned as a Preparer on this Study. The Study is Draft and has no pending deletion. Other viewers or Study states show saved allocations as read-only.
Steps
- Open the Study on the Evidence tab and find Role time allocation.
- If a role needs wage mapping, select Open Evidence mapping and map it before recording its allocation. The form lists wage-mapped roles.
- Enter each role’s working-time fraction as a decimal from 0 to 1, such as 0.25. Use decimal fractions, not percentage signs.
- Check Total working-time fraction. The total cannot exceed 1.0. If it is below 1.0, enter a sub-FTE basis for every listed role, including roles entered as zero, to distinguish part-time working time from incomplete allocation.
- Select Save allocations to save the complete set together. Wait for Allocations saved. before treating the entries as saved.
Good to know
For a validation error, correct the named entry and save again. If saving fails, your drafts remain in the open form; they are not confirmed saved. Do not rely on a reload to preserve them.
If saved roles or revisions changed, review the current saved state shown in the message. Select Reapply to adopt those roles and revisions while keeping your edited fields for remaining roles. Removed roles disappear, untouched fields use the saved values, and newly added roles start blank. Review every row, then select Save allocations separately. Reapply does not save.
If access or the Study state changes, the form blocks further saving and asks you to reload the Study before editing.
Saving allocations does not run a calculation or complete its other prerequisites. Select wage Evidence before running the calculation. The Reviewer still controls the conclusion.
