Clone a Study to next year
Start next year's Study from a finished one, then compare the two with Change Analysis.
Who does this: Preparer. You are the assigned Preparer on the source Study. A Finalized or Delivered Study clones in one step. A Superseded Study clones through a dialog, where Recommended source appears.
Steps
- Open the Finalized or Delivered Study and select Clone to next year. TracePrep creates a Draft Study for the next tax year.
- On a Superseded Study, Clone to next year opens a dialog. Under Recommended source, select Clone from the superseding Study to continue from the current version.
- To clone from the Superseded Study instead, confirm the override, enter a Recorded reason, and select Continue from this Superseded Study.
- In the new Study, select View Change Analysis. The Change Analysis page compares intake, figures and evidence sources with the Study it was cloned from.
