This page explains what we do with the email you give us, the support form, and the way we measure how the site is used. It reflects the site as it stands today.
TracePrep is built for business use by accounting professionals. We do not aim the site at children and do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
The email you give us
When you enter your work email on the Get started page, we send it to Customer.io, the service we use to store contacts and send email. We use your email to reply to you about TracePrep. It is never recorded as an analytics property.
If you reached the site from a campaign link, we also keep the campaign parameters in that link (the UTM values: source, medium, campaign, term, and content) so we know how you found us. We do not store the rest of the web address you came from.
There is no confirmation email in this version of the site. Nothing is sent to your inbox automatically when you submit the form; we reply to you ourselves.
The support form
The Support page hosts a contact form built by ClickUp. That form is a separate third-party embed with its own handling of what you type into it. Anything you send through it goes to ClickUp, where Bobby reads and answers it. The support form is a different data flow from the email capture above.
Because the form is loaded from ClickUp, it may set its own cookies or browser storage and is governed by ClickUp’s own privacy policy. The cookieless, no-storage statements below describe only TracePrep’s own measurement, not that third-party embed. You can read ClickUp’s policy at clickup.com/terms/privacy-policy.
How we measure the site
We use PostHog to count anonymous page views and two page-speed readings: largest contentful paint and cumulative layout shift.
When the Get started form goes through, we also count one anonymous conversion carrying the page it came from and the same campaign values, never your email or any way to identify you.
PostHog runs without cookies and keeps nothing in your browser storage. It does not build a profile of you, identify you, record your session, or capture what you type into forms or the page. A page view records only the path you visited, never the query string after it.
PostHog respects the Do Not Track signal. If your browser sends it, measurement stays off. PostHog also forwards these same anonymous readings to Google Analytics 4 as a downstream destination it manages for us.
